Windows abound at the Estate, enabling residents to take in the scenery and wildlife in all directions - even before you enter. Standing at the glass walled entrance, a visitor has an amazing view of the lake through the living room even before pushing the door bell. The large living room and foyer have multiple activity areas and a dining table overlooking the lake. The foyer doubles as an entertainment area where residents can gather around the piano. Next is the television and movie area with surround sound and six electric operated leather theater seats, curved around a large flat screen HD TV. Not only can residents enjoy satellite TV, movies, brain stimulation programs, physical resistance or gentle stretching and flexibility exercise videos, but the surround sound system can provide hours of relaxing music selected to meet resident preferences.

Moving south toward the lake and the “wall of ten windows” – 8 ft. high and 34 ft. wide – three couches permit residents, family and friends to comfortably visit while overlooking an abundance of wildlife in and around Indian Creek Reservoir. In addition to the constant water foul including ducks, coots and Canada geese, the lake attracts deer, fox, wild turkey, snowy egret, blue heron, killdeer, red tail hawks, osprey hawks and even the occasional bald eagle. In fact, a local resident has identified 109 birds and other wildlife in Greenstone Country and digitally captured them on his web site linked in our Gallery under “Greenstone Wildlife”.

With an equally impressive lake view, the dining area looks west over the lake with the stunning addition of gorgeous evening sunsets. Although there are two game tables in the living room, the dining table also doubles as a crafts table between meals. Next around the living room are the sewing and computer center. Capable residents interested in sewing will have access, with supervision, to a Viking “Husqvarna”. A computer, with high speed internet access, will be available for any resident wishing to type a letter, surf the internet or stay in touch with family and friends by face book, Google Talk, or email - even face to face on Skype. Classes will be given on a regular basis for those who are computer challenged, but willing to learn.

Off the foyer is a powder room reserved solely for the residents use, designed to save steps while enjoying living room activities. Also off the foyer is the picture lined hallway leading to all bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a fenced and tree shaded patio and a small but inviting library. The library has a view of the oak tree grove, and is designed to provide a quiet and serene escape from the stimulation available in the living room. Residents can relax in an electric recliner, read a book, enjoy a magazine article or just nap.

On either side of the library are the Estate’s seven bedrooms, six of which are available to residents. Private resident bedrooms vary in size from 120 to 234 square feet, and each has different views of the lake or oak tree grove. Most bedrooms have walk in closets and all have a critical sliding door to the outside in case of an emergency, easing your worries that you or your loved one will be blocked in a burning home with no way out. Each sliding door has a sensor wired to a central system that not only sounds an alarm, if a door is opened, but indicates which door was moved and dials multiple phone numbers with a recorded voice message of the incident.

At the end of the hall is the outdoor patio, fenced and gated with alarms to prevent unnoticed wandering. The lake can be viewed from the patio along with a 270° view of the oak grove and adjacent greenbelt extending for many acres. In fact, other than the nine homes across the lake, it is difficult to see any neighbors through the more than one hundred oaks on the Estate.
